WYNDHAMVALE FOOTBALL CLUB
The Windermere Sports Club was formed in the 1970’s in the expanding Werribee suburb called “Windermere” which was later changed to Wyndhamvale. The change was made as there was a suburb called “Windermere” already in Ballarat
It was initially a junior football club which entered teams in the Western Suburban Football League.
This continued until 1985, when the Sports Club fielded a senior team in the Reserve Division of the WSFL. Half way through that season, due to the huge number of player response, a second team was entered in the same competition. The original team played off in the finals that year.
In the 1986 season Wyndhamvale fielded teams in U/10, U/12, U/14, U/16 and A3 and A2 senior teams. The club enjoyed great success with the U/10 team only losing one game, the U/12 team finishing runners up to Hoppers Crossing; U/14 were a little less successful losing more games than they won; U/16 after a slow start to the season and just failed to make the four; the A3 senior side won the pennant and the A2 just failed to make the four.
Wyndhamvale fielded a Senior team in GDFL in 1987.
First game in GDFL in 1987

First senior win: Round 6, 1987. Wyndhamvale 4-15-39 d. Bannockburn 2-5-17.
The Club went into recess from 1995 to 1998 and resumed in season 1999.
The Club joined the Western Region Football League Division 2 in 1999.
The Club had a very good year in 2011 with finals representation at the Senior level and in many of our junior sides.
We look forward to prosperous and rewarding 2012.
Our clubrooms and ground are located at the Wyndhamvale Oval, Honour Avenue, Wyndham Vale (Melway 205 A7)
