100 Senior Games for Ellis

rowing up, this bloke opted for your button up number or a vest such was the sheer enormity of his melon. A life long struggle with hoodies, beanies and helmets of any kind has seen Dev develop into an incredibly resilient and fierce competitor. That rarely groomed head is one we love at the nest. Devan Ellis plays his 100th Senior game for the Wyndhamvale Football Club on the road this weekend against Caroline Springs. Dev becomes just the 23rd bloke to tick off this important milestone for our club at senior level. Great mate and skipper Alex Hamilton said "Congrats on the 100th Deva, not very often do you get to play 100 senior games with your best mates but somehow you have survived the chop, so congrats mate and good luck this weekend Hollywood." With calves that could prop up a Holden Rodeo, Ellis has been an absolute bull through the middle part of the ground for years and recognises the key moments in games and responds for his team. This contested animal has chalked up several accolades over the journey, including the 2013 WFC Senior Best & Fairest, the 2015 Division Two League Best & Fairest and several 'Team of the Year honours.' Dev was also a key part of our first senior premiership in 2015. Senior Coach Daniel Bunworth said "Dev was an exciting recruit for the club back in 2011 and has developed into one of our most important senior players over the years. He has also become a quality leader at the Falcons, being Vice Captain for a number of seasons and leads by his actions on the ground. Let's make sure his 100th is one to remember!" His family, mates and wife Ashlee would be very proud of all his efforts. All the best for the weekend Deva!
