Wyndhamvale's Sharnie Whiting has capped off a stella year by winning the WRFL U18 Girls League Best & Fairest. Whiting was also the Leading Goal Kicker for the season with 50 Goals.The Falcons Premiership Captain, Kayla Koropeckyj achieved 3rd place in the Best & Fairest race.

Wyndhamvale U/18 Girls Complete 2017 Undefeated After Winning Grand Final

The Wyndhamvale Under 18 Girls were crowned 2017 Premiers after defeating Spotswood by 19 points. ​After a nervous start, the Falcons settled into the game to dominate across all positions on the field. Sharnie Whiting kicked the first goal of the match, but the team's momentum was stopped when Falcons' Fullback, Scarlett Saxon-Jones was knocked out and seriously injured. The game was delayed for more than an hour waiting for an ambulance to arrive and ferry Scarlett to hospital. Once play recommenced, Wyndhamvale's defence held strong, and Spotswood never really threaten to score during play. Wyndhamvale held a 10 point lead going into the main break.
